About Me

My byline first appeared in the national Tonight in 2006 and I haven’t looked back since. I have written for publications like The Star, Cape Argus, rage.co.za, GQ South Africa, Rolling Stone South Africa, BONA, afriPOP! Mag, VISI and more.
I have held editor positions at publications like MTN Xploaded and Jozi Insider. My digital media experience includes being a web editor at Multichoice and a senior content producer at e.tv.
I have spent time writing copy for television and radio adverts as well as retail brochures. I have also hosted a day at the KZN Music Imbizo, conducted a live interview for Boiler Room, moderated events at the J&B Hive and facilitated a panel discussion for MIDEM, amongst many others.
Most recently, I have been pursuing a second act in broadcast media. My voice can be heard on a few television and radio adverts. I was also the scriptwriter on a continent-wide music television show.
My short stories have been published by the likes of Books Live and I was selected to participate in the Centre of African Excellence’s Writivism creative writing project.
I have interviewed the likes of K.O as well as Khuli Chana and Sho Madjozi for video specials and in the first year of Touch HD’s existence, my show appeared in the Top 5 most downloaded list.
My podcast, i(m)bali, gives artists their flowers while they can smell them and it has transformed into i(m)bali LIVE – a well-attended monthly event held in Johannesburg.
When I am not beating my Tetris high score, I am focused on continuing to give African artists a meaningful space to tell their stories through various mediums.
